If you’re in the PR/Marketing world, the PESO model is a familiar information graphic that describes the four media types—paid, earned, shared and owned—and merges them together to describe their relationship among one another.

The four media types are broken down into:

Paid Media: such as social media advertising, sponsored content and email marketing.
Earned Media: a publication through a newspaper or trade publication.
Shared Media: also known as social media.
Owned Media:
aka, ‘content’. Something you’ve created, and exists on your website.

At Pulse Design Studio, we’ve seen this infographic often when it comes to preparing presentations for our clients, and so we wanted to explore a more interactive, storytelling version- since this information is typically presented to the viewer to digest all at once.

Below, you’ll see how we’ve taken the PESO model to the next level of storytelling, by utilizing PowerPoint and it’s amazing animation features- particularly the morph transition.
